#Letter m words preschool pdf
Check out his mouth as he sounds each letter out: m….o….p! (The Word Slider Cards complete unit is available for purchase here!)Īnd we finished our Preschool Letter M with our beginning M CVC puzzles! Not sure what he’s thinking about in the photo below…īefore I go, here’s a pdf with all the freebies from this post! ? We also read our beginning M Word Slider cards. Here he is oh-so-carfeully writing the number 5 on our Preschool Number worksheets.
Next, Filip dotted his way through a Number 5 maze… oopsy! Almost made a mistake and dotted the number 9! Next, Filip dotted his way through our Beginning M page…Īnd then we tried another new activity this week – a Letter M crown! I cut out the crown and pictures, and Filip glued them on… I personally am a big fan of it and, while it is harder to mold than playdough, I love letting it run through my fingers! Ah! Relaxation therapy ? Then we used the Kinetic Sand for our number play dough mat too… Carefully scrunching it up together…Īll done! We had heaps of fun using the sand. We hadn’t used it since our Preschool Farm Week and it was definitely time to use it again!įilip carefully formed upper and lower case M on our laminated play dough mats. On Day 2, we brought out our Kinetic Sand (purchased from Toy Kingdom, Australia). Here’s a photo on my little man digging through the bones to find the correct numeral: The objective is to find a focus number represented in numeral, word and picture format.

Please note, if you’d like to buy this game, the unit contains black-line images, NOT coloured – I coloured them in myself back in the days when I had too much free time on my hands ? I introduced a number activity this week that I bought a l-o-o-o-ng time ago from Teacher Created. We also did a cut and paste Number 5 activity page.Įnd result! These are becoming quite easy for Filip, but he needs the cutting practice so we’ll keep them for a while longer! We then used our blue gems to trace the number 5.
Next, it was time for our focus number of the week: 5! As usual, Filip started by finger tracing the number and then used a white board maker once he’d mastered the tricky number 5 formation. Here’s a pic of my lil’ man saying “Mmmm” as he dotted away:Īnd, final result… Excuse the confused lower case m’s at the bottom of the page ?įilip also did a lower case m handwriting practice page from The Measured Mom. To change things up this week, we used Dawn DeLorenzo’s Gumball Dot It! Letter M activity page to identify upper and lower case M. We will definitely be doing this again next week! (If you’d like to purchase the complete unit, click here!) He was deifintely ready for the challenge and absolutely LOVED it! Here is a pic of him sorting the picture cards:Īnd the end result. So, we brought out our Sound Hound and got busy sorting the picture cards by sound position. I’m sure you can get them from any craft store, though!įilip is now confidently able to identify beginning sounds for simple words and I wanted to take it up a level to see if he could identify our focus letter in initial, medial and final positions in words. My! They are SO pretty! We picked these up from Uncle Bucks (Australia) a while ago for literally $2.00. After our usual finger tracing practice and white board marker tracing, we took out some blue gems and Filip made the letter M with them, being careful to follow the arrows to ensure correct formation. We moved right along and brought out our playdough mats. Here’s a pic of my lil’ man trying on the Mickey Mouse mask. I filled a basket with some toys that start with the “M” sound… We had a Mickey Mouse mask, a monkey, motorcycle, milk bottle, 2 mice, a mechanic and a lovable minion. We started Day 1 with a Beginning Sounds Basket. Things have been very busy out our house for the past few weeks, reason we’ve been absent from blogging, and we only managed to squeeze in 2 “school days” this week. We are back this week to show you what we did for our Preschool Letter M.
